Bouygues Construction‘s Cybersecurity Department was looking for a solution to replace its multiple Excel files and centralize the security management of its projects. The global construction group, present in over 50 countries, was faced with a number of concrete challenges: time-consuming manual processes, difficulty in tracking progress in integrating security into projects, and a lack of visibility on security risks.
It was against this backdrop that Bouygues Construction chose Ignimission Platform and its ISP (Integrating Safety into Projects) business application. Thanks to its no-code interface, Ignimission Platform made it possible to rapidly create a single, customized portal to manage the entire lifecycle of security integration in projects. The results are convincing: automated workflows, improved traceability of actions, and real-time dashboards that facilitate decision-making.

“Before Ignimission Platform, our process was managed via Excel. It was a manual and cumbersome system, with no effective centralization,” explains Aymane RAMACH. “The Excel files were certainly controlled, but nothing was really centralized, and the files were easily lost. With so many people involved, we lost track of responsibilities and actions in the project, and couldn’t ensure continuous monitoring. This situation made any in-depth analysis of our security processes impossible. ”
The project to tool the integration of security into projects was born out of a meeting between the Cybersecurity Department and Opera Cyber, Ignimission’s long-standing partner. “What particularly attracted us to Ignimission Platform was the no-code approach and agile methods, which enable us to develop in small batches and deliver initial results very quickly,” points out Aymane RAMACH. “The agile methodology is a real differentiator. The no-code interface allows us to customize whatever we want. The quality of exchanges with the teams, the responsiveness of support and instant delivery are also strong points. What’s more, the solution is hosted on a SecNumCloud-qualified infrastructure, which guarantees a high level of security and data sovereignty.”
“Initially, we set out on a POC to transform our Excel file into a single portal. The aim was for the project manager to be able to create his projects directly, keeping the same schematics so as not to confuse users, but guiding them step by step, from submission to final validation by the security team.” The system generates appropriate security requirements based on the security needs specified by the project manager. Integrated workflows ensure smooth file progression and optimal validation control.
The application centralizes and keeps up to date all the safety references required for projects. This dynamic knowledge base automatically adapts requirements to the context of each project, ensuring constant compliance with Bouygues Construction safety standards. Teams can easily consult and update these repositories, ensuring consistent application of safety rules across the Group.
The implementation of the solution is based on a proven agile methodology. “Our community participates in agile workshops because it’s their tool and we want their ideas to be taken into account. We’ve created access for the community so they can go through the whole process. At all our presentations, we use the portal to demonstrate simplicity and ease of use, which encourages positive feedback and adoption.”

Initial feedback demonstrates the positive impact of the solution. “Our users are very satisfied that they no longer have to go through an Excel file. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. They can easily find the information they’re looking for”, explains Aymane RAMACH. “This solution gives us steering tools for a global view of the integration of safety into our projects. Before, we couldn’t have such detailed data, and we only had a macro view of the number of projects supported. Today, we can really manage this process more effectively thanks to this data.”
The next major step, particularly eagerly awaited by Bouygues Construction IT, is integration with the demand management process via API. For Aymane RAMACH: “This will be a huge time-saver, because as soon as the project is selected, project managers will have pre-filled fields in the forms. This will avoid double entry and therefore errors, while enabling us to better identify security needs and provide the best response. Among the major updates we’re planning, we also have a major risk analysis component that we want to integrate into this security project. This will help us to better manage risks, which today are still managed in Excel.”
The success of this initiative is arousing the interest of other teams within Bouygues Construction IT. “There has been a lot of internal discussion about the development of this project, and other teams who also work on Excel are interested in the application,” explains Aymane RAMACH. “The richness of the Bouygues group means that we have a lot of exchanges and feedback, which enables us to share best practices internally.” To sum up Ignimission Platform’s added value, Aymane RAMACH highlights “adaptability, availability and respect for deadlines” – qualities that have helped simplify a complex process while enhancing its efficiency.”
